The Joint Admission Matriculation Board (JAMB) has pledged to give out free application forms to persons with disabilities registering for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination.
The announcement was made by the Public Communication Advisor of JAMB, Dr Fabian Benjamin, in its weekly bulletin on 2 February 2026. The registration, which began on 26 January, will continue until 28 February. So far, the board said it has raked in N2,206,319,000.00 from the sales of UTME e-Pins.
Its Registrar, Prof. Is-haq Oloyede, announced this at a meeting with critical stakeholders of the board at its national headquarters in Abuja.
“To support the PLWDs, JAMB will issue free application documents to all categories of persons living with disabilities. For candidates to enjoy this, such candidates must possess five Credits passed in Ordinary Level (O/L) at not more than two sittings,” Oloyede said.
The board explained that this move is to promote inclusivity and ensure that candidates with disabilities have equal access to tertiary education opportunities. JAMB emphasised its commitment to removing barriers for persons living with disabilities and supporting their academic aspirations.
