XFP Productions has concluded its In-House Creative Bootcamp for Persons with Disabilities, a two-month programme aimed at equipping young people with disabilities with practical digital and creative skills.
The training, which began on August 11 and ended on October 2, 2025, was held at the organisation’s studio in Okota, Lagos.
Eight participants drawn from different disability groups took part in the programme. They were trained in scriptwriting, content creation, video editing and production.
The participants were also provided with meals, mentorship and transportation stipends to ensure full inclusion. According to Ella, the Lead Facilitator, the initiative was designed not just to teach technical skills but to build confidence and nurture creativity among the trainees.
During the programme, participants engaged in interactive sessions that mixed theory with hands-on practice. They were introduced to storytelling techniques, podcasting, social media management and brand content creation.
The Bootcamp also offered opportunities for teamwork through game days, creative challenges and peer collaborations, all of which helped to create an inclusive and lively learning environment.
One of the trainees, Taiwo Olopade, who is visually impaired, said the Bootcamp transformed her confidence and helped her discover her storytelling abilities.
She explained that she joined the programme with uncertainty but gained assurance through the guidance of the facilitators.

Taiwo had her first practical lessons in scriptwriting and podcast storytelling during the training and described the experience as “learning that feels like living.” She is now taking part in an internship phase that began on October 6, 2025, which is expected to provide real-life industry experience.
The Bootcamp’s organisers say the programme reflects XFP Productions’ commitment to promoting inclusion and accessibility within Nigeria’s creative industry. The organisation believes persons with disabilities can play a leading role in digital innovation when given access to the right skills and support.
Following the success of this cohort, XFP Productions is preparing to expand the initiative with a more elaborate Bootcamp aimed at training over 1,000 persons with disabilities across Nigeria in digital and vocational skills.
The organisation is calling on government agencies, development partners and private companies to support the initiative through funding and collaboration.
XFP Productions is an inclusive media and entertainment organisation focused on empowering persons with disabilities through creativity, storytelling and skills development.
